New PCCP article

This work presents our comparative pulsed EPR studies of two molecular spin qubits, consisting of iron(III) and chromium(III) triangles. Fe3 exhibits very broad spectra due to the effect of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions and this work assesses the degree to which these broadenings accellerate spin decoherence due to spectra diffusion. We find that although Cr3 decoheres faster during echo-decay experiments due to low-lying excited states and larger content of magnetic nuclei, nutation experiments reveal similar decoherence between the two, attributed to the effect of spectral diffusion. However, the effect is quite moderate when compared to the spectral width.
